The 2024 NHL Global Series continues with a marquee matchup between the Florida Panthers and Dallas Stars in Finland. Puck drop at Nokia Arena is set for 2:00 PM EST, with NHL Network broadcasting the game nationally.
The Friday NHL odds have the Panthers and Stars in a pick’em, with both teams at -110 on the moneyline. These two clubs are off to strong starts and looking to make an early statement in this international clash.

Panthers vs Stars Prediction
This has all the makings of a tight, evenly-matched contest between two of the NHL’s top teams in the early going. However, we give a slight edge to the Stars playing on their pseudo-home ice in Finland.
Dallas has won seven of its first nine games and ranks first in the league in goals against (1.89 per game). Goaltender Jake Oettinger has been stellar, posting a .938 save percentage and 1.84 goals against average. He should be able to limit a high-powered Panthers offense.
The Stars also have some offensive firepower of their own. Matt Duchene leads the team with six goals and 11 points, while Roope Hintz and Jason Robertson are always a threat to find the back of the net. Look for the Stars’ top guns to solve Sergei Bobrovsky.
While the Panthers have won three straight and sit atop the Atlantic Division, their underlying numbers aren’t quite as impressive as Dallas. They rank 15th in goals against and have a goal differential of just plus-three through 11 games.
We expect the Stars to grind out a close victory on the strength of their stingy defense and timely scoring. Back Dallas on the moneyline in what should be a playoff-type atmosphere in Finland.
