Scott Arfield has joined Rangers from Burnley on a four-year deal, becoming the first signing of the Steven Gerrard era.
Arfield, 29, had been with Burnley since 2013 and has won 12 caps for Canada.
"When you have a name like [Gerrard], and also his No. 2 Gary McAllister, it was quite an easy decision, and also an easy decision for me and my family to come back up the road and to come to a club this size is perfect for me at this time in my career," Arfield told RangersTV.
"I was lucky enough to play against Steven when I was at Burnley and he was just finishing off at Liverpool. He's been every midfielder's inspiration I think and he was certainly mine. I'm incredibly lucky that in the next four years, I'm going to work every day with him and hopefully learn a lot."
