Cassius Clay also known as Muhammad Ali has his first professional fight as he beats Tunney Hunsaker in six rounds.
October 30th, 1974
The "Rumble in the Jungle" boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman takes place in Kinshasa, Zaire. Muhammad Ali ultimately knocks out George Foreman in the 8th round of the fight.
October 31st, 1943
Sammy Baugh of the Washington Redskins throws six touchdown passes to defeat Brooklyn 48 – 10.
