Georgia hosts Kentucky in CFB Week 6, and kickoff for this SEC battle on October 4 is scheduled for noon ET.
This game last year was a lot closer than many people thought, as Georgia went into Lexington and snuck out of there with a 13-12 win.
Last week, Georgia’s 33-game home winning streak was snapped by Alabama. They have a chance to begin a new streak at home as the college football odds list Georgia as a heavy 20.5-point favorite at home vs Kentucky.
Keep reading for my Kentucky vs Georgia betting preview, picks, and odds for Saturday, October 4.
Kentucky vs Georgia Preview
Georgia will be motivated in this game after falling to Alabama at home last week. While Kentucky has not been good this year, Kirby Smart will have plenty to get his team ready for this game. The Bulldogs struggled with Kentucky in 2024 and found themselves down before eventually winning 13-12. Smart will not let his team overlook the struggling Wildcats.
The Bulldogs are 3-1 with a big road win over Tennessee on their resume. They are now in the second game of a homestand with Auburn on deck.
Their offense is led by quarterback Gunnar Stockton, who is completing 69.7% of his passes and has been efficient through the air. Stockton has five passing touchdowns and zero interceptions on the year, and he has added three touchdowns on the ground as well. He has talented weapons in Colbie Young and Zachariah Branch to get the ball to.
Georgia still has a talented defense, but it has not been as dominant in years past. Teams have struggled to run the ball on their front seven, but they have been vulnerable through the air. The Bulldogs are one of the worst teams in the country in passing success rate, and they have allowed 232.75 receiving yards per game.

It has been a difficult year for the Wildcats. They are 2-2 and just lost by 22 to South Carolina.
Kentucky will be starting redshirt freshman quarterback Cutter Boley. Boley has made two starts and has thrown for 364 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions through that span.
Mark Stoops wants to run the ball, and running backs Seth McGowen and Dante Dowdell lead the way. McGowan leads the team with seven touchdowns and is averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
On defense, Kentucky ranks near the bottom of the conference in every category. They will have their hands full with Georgia on Saturday.
